Dr Ismail Badroen Dr Badroen is inspired by the Faculty of Education’s “Emancipation Model” of teaching where lecturers, as transformative intellectuals, constantly are in dialogue with students; critically engage with traditional versus indigenous knowledge and drawing on students’ lived experiences. As a facilitator of learning he creates an opportunity for new understandings and ways of looking at the world, he develops his students’ higher-level reasoning skills by constantly engaging them in dialogue.
