Reasons to be Proud #R2bP: Mandela University students Storm Abbott and Dylan Minnaar received two top national awards at the recent Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS) Awards Gala evening.

 

Storm Abbott and Dylan Minnaar both received two top national awards at the recent ASAQS Awards Gala evening from representatives of Turner & Townsend Quantity Surveyors.

Storm, currently a final year BSc Honours (Quantity Surveying) student, received the ASAQS Turner & Townsend Future Leaders Award”, for her outstanding academic excellence in her undergraduate studies.

In 2022, she completed her BSc Construction Economics degree (cum laude) with an average of 84.59% for all years of study.

During her undergraduate studies, she received numerous awards for academic excellence, including an average of 84.05% for Quantities, Quantity Surveying, and Building Economics, over her three years of study.

She also passed all 34 modules, with distinction, an extra-ordinary accomplishment, never achieved in the Department before.

The ASAQS Turner & Townsend Great Outcomes Award” was awarded to third-year BSc Construction Economics, Dylan, for his academic excellence, and he will continue with his BSc Honours (Quantity Surveying) degree in 2024.
