Ian, predominantly a pool swimmer, has shown his prowess as an out and out sprinter in open water swimming and led the race from start to finish. For the past three years, he has been unbeaten in local open water swimming.
Ian also competed at the 2018 SA Grand Prix swim series held in Stellenbosch recently, and won gold in the men’s 200m free style, silver in the 200m back stroke and bronze in the 100m back stroke events.
