Change the world

16/09/2019

One of the matters that surfaced in last week’s protest action was related to students not wanting to write tests in the evenings due to security concerns. The Executive Deans and Timetable Office have worked hard to come up with a solution.

In essence, the solution is that from 16 September for the remainder of this year, we will reduce the time of the lecture period by 5 minutes which enables us to create two new periods between 16:45 and 17:45 where we can do tests.

We have also lengthened the time on Saturdays for tests, which will now be slotted in between 08:00 and 16:00.

The revised lecture frame work for the remainder of 2019 is below.

Students should consult the online timetable views and lecturers will also communicate the lecture timeslot changes to students per module.
