Change the world

11/09/2019

Reasons to be Proud - #R2bP: Anney Xala, a second year Accounting student at Nelson Mandela University, has been selected as a finalist in the Miss Heritage South Africa pageant - a pageant that aims to empower women of all ages with a platform to bring sustainable change and to become charity and culture ambassadors within SA and the broader international community.

She is one of the 12 finalists who will be battling for the crown on the 21st of September in Bloemfontein, Free State. Finalists are expected to take part in a number of fundraising projects and challenges during the run-up to the final.

Anney started modelling back in 2009 at her church and has never looked back. She believes that pageants help young women and men build their confidence, self esteem, communication skills and courage to face the big world.

Should Anney win this year's competition, she will represent South Africa in the Global pageant, Miss Heritage Global and compete against 50 other countries.
