As the demand for places far exceeds the number of places available across the institution’s programmes, the University will be engaging directly with applicants who have been given provisional offers and those given firm offers via e-mail and text messaging to ascertain their decision to study at Mandela University.
The competition for study places is high with many programmes already full, and so confirmation of acceptance will be imperative for applicants. Failure to respond may lead to applicants losing their study spot for a particular programme.
Confirmation messaging
In seeking confirmation of the applicants’ decision going forward, the University hopes to provide greater clarity for those already on the reserve lists for certain programmes. All applicants will be targeted directly to advise of their decision in the near future. The link will also be shared via our social media platforms.
Supporting information
Apart from the confirmation messaging, applicants will receive information to help them with their decision. This information will include news on funding support, residence applications and what to expect as a Madibaz student.
Additionally, prospective students can check out the My Future website
https://myfuture.mandela.ac.za/ or liaise directly with the University’s Contact Centre via info@mandela.ac.za
Funding support (NSFAS)
Undergraduate NSFAS applications have not yet opened. Applicants should not, however, be discouraged from accepting the offer from Mandela University because of this. Applicants should continue to monitor the NSFAS website to apply for funding support as soon as it does open.
This process will only be concluded in a few weeks’ time.
