It was agreed this evening that:

The DVC: Learning and Teaching will engage the Executive Deans of all faculties to reschedule all tests and assignments that were due this week (2 to 7 September),

Alternatives to writing tests in the evening be sought in the interest of student and staff safety,

A comprehensive outline of off-campus WiFi connectivity be provided, along with regular updates,

The Safety and Security Task Team be revived and meet fortnightly to continuously reflect on progress in implementing the University’s safety and security strategy,

The VC will issue a statement in solidarity with the national movement against Gender Based Violence (GBV), xenophobia and all forms of violent crime,
-
An assessment be completed by Friday regarding the need for private security to complement existing security on-campus arrangements.
