As the regional associate, Siboniso will act as the chief YALDA representative in the region with his responsibility being to support all existing branches and ensure that they are fulfilling their respective obligations. During his two year tenure, he will be required to execute expansion plans for the region and subsequently implement them, work with various International Executive Committee Members to promote the establishment of YALDA Country Offices in the region, Chair YALDA Southern Africa regional committee meetings and monitor National Boards; Committees and Trustees, assist branches to realise their goals and vision of YALDA; coach, mentor and manage University Executive Directors as well country Managing Directors of YALDA Foundations.
YALDA’s mission is anchored in the strong desire to achieve development on the African continent through cordial collaboration between youth and professionals. This is achieved through extensive networking and establishment of partnerships for leading development in Africa. YALDA has reputable relationships with the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) with an impactful track record in developing African youth.
