Walking the talk and getting right behind the University’s #MaskUpMandela campaign, the Nelson Mandela University Psychology Society have posed a challenge to students, staff and the South African public at large, to take part in their mask selfie competition.

Running on social media, the competition which they have tagged “nmumaskupchallenge”, challenges entrants to take a most creative mask selfie and post it to their Facebook or Instagram pages, and in the process, challenge a friend to do the same.

All entries will be posted on the Society’s Facebook page and the 10 with the highest amount of likes will be put to a panel of judges to declare first, second and third place. The competition is open to anyone in South Africa and closes on 7 August 2020.

The Society publishes regular content on its Facebook page in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, promoting behaviour change in washing and sanitising hands, wearing masks and physical distancing.
