Status update 5 - safety and security on campuses

The Dean of Students engaged with students and two issues were raised about safety on and off campuses and the issue of treatment of off-campus students. Productive discussions ensued and reaffirmed the implementation of the University’s comprehensive safety and security strategy, where after the meeting concluded.

At a special Manco this afternoon the following were approved:

Implementing additional measures aimed at enhancing safety and security of staff and students to enable normal University academic and support operations to continue.
Staff are requested to continue with their core responsibilities. There will be further communication should the need arise.
