Change the world

14/04/2021

Nelson Mandela University is aware of the growing anxiety around the impending close of registration as several students are still grappling with funding and other access challenges.

The University has been working, through ongoing engagement with the Student Representative Council (SRC), to address the various issues raised in an attempt to ensure the successful registration of all admitted students.

While there has not been any formal submission of a grievance by the protesting student formation, the University understands that the ongoing protest is in a bid to raise these issues.

University Management will meet with the recently elected SRC to unpack students’ grievances, with a view to resolving the ongoing protest action.

Students are reminded of the protocols in place prior to partaking in protest action.
