Pholisa has been recognised for her outstanding academic achievement, exemplary leadership and service, said Professor Felix Amoah, Head of Nelson Mandela University's Department of Marketing Management.
She serves as the Academic Advisor in the Marketing Management Department and has distinguished herself through student leadership, advocacy, mentorship and international engagement, throughout her University journey.
Pholisa also represented the Department of Marketing Management at the International Week on Sustainability hosted by the University of Antwerp in Belgium, where she achieved the highest mark in the cohort.
“This prestigious bursary celebrates young leaders with the potential to contribute meaningfully to South Africa and the global community, and Pholisa's selection is a testament to Nelson Mandela’s value of excellence, Prof Amoah said.
The bursary offers recipients the opportunity to participate in a three-week educational tour of London and Scotland. During the tour, participants engage in cultural exchange, leadership discussions and visits to historically and politically significant institutions.
Pholisa will be leaving for London with a group of other high-performing students from different universities around the country.
"We congratulate Pholisa on behalf of the Department of Marketing Management and wish her every success as she embarks on this remarkable opportunity to represent both the University and South Africa in London and Scotland this November,” Prof Amoah said.
