Reasons to be Proud - #R2bP: Songezo Nogwaja, an Advanced Diploma in Economics student at Mandela University has been elected as the National Chairperson of the Black Management Forum Student Chapter.

The Student Chapter aims to develop and empower student leadership, primarily among black students at tertiary institutions, and create leadership structures and processes, which enhance the abilities, and capabilities of students upon entering the labour market or corporate world. 

Songezo, who hails from Mooiplaas, a rural area near East London, will be tasked to provide direction to the Student Chapter, enter into contracts, promote relationships between BMFSC and other Youth Formations and organisations, assist in fundraising, ensure the good image, branding and marketing of the Chapter, advocate and lobby resources on behalf of the Chapter among others.

He will be will be leading 44 campuses of higher education institution in all 9 provinces.

At Mandela University, he is a Supplemental Instruction Leader in the Department of Economics, is House Committee Primarius at Varsity Park Student Accommodation and is a Senior Peer Helper on the Second Avenue Campus.
