Katie, a first-year Dietetics student, has been selected to compete in the 10km event in the 18- to 19-years' age group, earning her place amongst the country’s finest junior open water swimmers.
Her selection is a testament to the countless hours of dedication, perseverance and commitment she has invested both in the pool and in open water.
Representing your country on the international stage is one of the highest honours an athlete can achieve, said Melinda Goosen, Madibaz Sport Manager: Aquatics and Netball.
Katie’s achievement reflects not only her exceptional talent but also the hard work of her coaches, support team and family who have been part of her journey,
