As a result of the above later start, the 2021 Academic Calendar as initially approved by ECS is currently under review to make provision for this lost teaching week. The amendments being envisaged included extending the first teaching cycle by a week and hence also shifting the mid-year end of module assessment period.
The first teaching cycle recess period remains as is i.e. 1 – 9 May 2021.
A revised 2021 Academic Calendar is being considered whilst students are still registering. A proposal in this regard will serve at ECS by mid-April and subsequently shared with the University community.
