This four-day conference aims to help participants develop essential skills, such as problem-solving and addressing global issues with creative solutions, adaptability to diverse environments and collaboration, working with peers from around the world.
Letwaba explained that the Advanced Academy of Excellence is an educational technology that specialises in online tutoring services, tutored by student engineers, accountants, and doctors to assist Grades 3 to 12, while offering career guidance in the career they aspire to pursue.
"I applied for this programme because they were looking for innovative ideas related to Africa, and my academy was recognised as being very innovative in the educational space," Letwaba explained.
As the founder of the Advanced Academy of Excellence, registered in 2022 and scaled up in 2023, Letwaba expressed his gratitude for the significant role the University has played in his life.
"I've been using the University's resources since my first year. I have been involved with the Madibaz Youth Entrepreneurship Lab, since I started, and I have been improving and developing stage by stage, " he explained.
The Model United Nations is a simulation of a United Nations Conference where young leaders, referred to as delegates, are assigned a country to represent in various committees with a pre-set topics for debate. It serves as a platform for young leaders to gather with a common goal: to enhance their skills in leadership, negotiation, and diplomacy.
