Change the world

Coming to university for the first time is often an exciting, life-changing experience. However, it can also be challenging and stressful. The transition often involves major changes, like leaving friends and family for the first time, coming to grips with a new course and independent study, discovering new ways of doing things and facing new expectations.

To help our new First Year students, NMMU runs an Orientation Programme which includes a range of activities starting this week and continuing each term.

The activities take place in the faculties as follows:

Thursday 28 January:

  • Business and Economic Sciences
  • Education
  • Law
  • Engineering, the Built Environment and IT
  • Missionvale (all qualifications offered at Missionvale)

Friday 29 January:

  • Arts
  • Health Sciences
  • Science
