Reasons to be Proud - #R2bP: Lindokuhle Mvango, a second year Logistics student at Mandela University, has had her dream come true by being selected to represent South Africa at The International ARTS Talent Showcase in New York next year.

Auditions were held in Johannesburg recently where Lindokuhle auditioned in the modelling category. The showcase is an annual event that provides local artists and models with an opportunity to audition in front of international talent scouts with the hope of being chosen to represent their country in the USA. The various categories include acting, singing, dancing, high fashion, photographic modelling and plus-size modelling.

During the South African auditions, local artists and models performed in front of international talents scout - Joey Hunter from IMTA in New York, independent casting director for Tyler Perry Studio’s - Rhavynn Drummer, guest performers A & R from America's Got Talent and X-Factor, Nate Butler and Blaze Johnson from Adam Levine’s team on “The Voice” and representatives of the New York Film Academy.

“The whole experience was amazing! Being given an opportunity to share my talents not only with national but international talent scouts, is one I will forever cherish” said an excited Lindokuhle.

“Never in my life did I think I would be representing my country internationally. It shows that dreams do come true as long as you put in the right amount of hard work, dedication and discipline.”
